Oxides and Hydroxides

      4th class - Oxides and hydroxides. They consists of oxides and hydroxides of metals and nonmetals. Their categorization is based on the metal/oxygen ratio. The hydroxides are classificed mainly on the basis of the presence of OH and/or H2O. Also arsenides (AsO3), selenides (SeO3), tellurides (TeO3) and iodides (IO3) belong to this class.
