Hypabyssal magmatites

The hypabyssal magmatites resulted by magma penetration into fissure or fracture zones (dikes) or into discontinuities along bedding planes (sills). They are often bound to the plutonite bodies and their surroundings. They sometimes occur in groups, so called dike swarms, which might be as much as several dozens of kilometres long (their composition correponds mostly to basic basaltoids).
