In this part of the Virtual Museum the rocks are classified into six classes according to their genesis. Although some other systems are possible, this classifcation was selected, because it fully respects Survey´s coding and current mapping regulations (scale 1 : 25 000). During these mapping activities a database of documentation points is progressively developing which corresponds with this classification as well. Thus, necessary unification of outputs is guaranteed.
